BENVENUTO!

DCS-NEWS DCS: AJS-37 Viggen by Heatblur Simulations

E la lingua... è in svedese? Finlandese?

[:panach11] [:panach11] [:panach11]

Scherzi a parte, sembra un modulo molto interessante e promettente...  [:headbang]

We’d like to take a moment and thank all of you who have purchased the Viggen and have been sharing your thoughts and experiences with us!
It means the world to us to have our second jet out there and populating the virtual DCS skies.

Viggen Sale & Bundle Available
Today, we’re excited to announce that the Viggen is available for 20% off on the Eagle Dynamics E-Store and the Heatblur store (www.heatblur.com)!

We decided to run this sale due to our commitment to honouring MiG-21 crowdfunding backers.
Since we need to run another batch of Viggen pre-order shirts, we wanted to offer you the chance of grabbing the bundle deal we ran prior to release.

You can now get a standalone Viggen, Viggen + T-Shirt bundle, or standalone T-Shirt on www.heatblur.com for
$47.99, $59.99 or $19.99 respectively, until Monday, April 10th!

New Feature: Road Base System
As mentioned previously, we’ve been working hard on the addition of some exciting new features for the Viggen, which will expand its’ capabilities in the game and offer up various new unique gameplay experiences.

Today we’re very proud to announce the upcoming road base system coming to the Viggen!
The Viggen is an aircraft that operated within a very unique doctrine, and we wanted to create an exciting way for you to experience this in our Viggen.

The road base system will allow you to place a group of units in the mission editor that will serve as your re-arm and refuel crew.
Landing your Viggen and taxiing close to these units will allow you to refuel and re-arm your aircraft.

Beyond this, once you have rearmed and refueled your units’ aircraft, you can order the ground crew to a preset backup landing point.
The units will pack up and drive to the set landing point and await your arrival from your second strike run.
Thus, you can keep your road base landing options open and dynamic, and keep the enemy on it’s toes. This feature is still WiP; and we’re working on the GUI that will allow you to pick and select weaponry and ground crew waypoints.

This feature will be featured in our upcoming campaigns for the Viggen.

As part of our commitment to fill our products to the brim with content and value that increases your immersion both in Singleplayer and Multiplayer and give you a variety of options for authentic mission creation, the J-35 Draken will be the first major addition by Heatblur for DCS AJS 37 Viggen!

The art team has been busy with recreating this classic aircraft to the quality you expect of Heatblur. We’ve approached the creation of this project in the same way as we approach the creation of our full fidelity, flyable modules - and have utilized all of our latest techniques in achieving a perfect reproduction of the Draken’s iconic shape and characteristics.

Our draken will include authentic weaponry and will span across various eras and variants of the aircraft. As an AI aircraft, it will be a perfect addition to missions and campaigns, and serve as an immersive escort or authentic opponent for Heatblur and community mission content. Once it is complete, it will be available across all maps and versions of DCS as part of the base DCS World game regardless of whether you own the AJS 37 or not!

The Saab 35 Draken ("Dragon") is a single-engine supersonic fighter from the 2nd generation. Its first maiden flight was way back in October 1955, and it has been operated by countries across Europe - including Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Austria.

For now, the inclusion of the Draken is limited to an AI aircraft; but we have always considered the Draken to be a prime addition to our high fidelity roadmap, and hope to make it a reality at some point!

Thanks for sticking with us!

AJS 37 Development Update

While most of your excitement currently revolves around the F-14; we’re still working hard on our post release AJS 37 roadmap.
We’ve recently unveiled some of the bigger, new, free features coming to the Viggen- such as the AI J-35 Draken. We’ve spent a lot of time building this aircraft to the same exacting standard as you’d expect from a flyable DCS module.

Draken_01.jpg
Draken_02.jpg
Draken_03.jpg

The Draken is an integral part of what we consider to be our AJS 37 Content Push.
The Content push for the Viggen primarily revolves and focuses around the two campaigns that we are working on, which will ship for free for the module. Both campaigns will be set in the Caucasus region, and one campaign will be a short 6 mission “mini campaign”.

Of course, the aircraft itself will be no stranger to expansion and improvements, both in and outside the game. Some of the major changes coming to the Viggen are as follows:
Major and minor bugs still remaining.
New, J-35 Draken AI
An overhaul of the cockpit to take full advantage of PBR BRDF (see F-14 cockpit samples)
Completely new exterior soundset, accurately recreating the sound of the Volvo RM8 as mounted in the AJS 37 Viggen.
New Caucasus Mini-Campaign
New Caucasus Main-Campaign
New in-cockpit pilot
Manual imagery and content completion
New Liveries, including fictional and JA-37 liveries
More Training Missions
New Single Player Missions
More new, secret content!
With these changes and additions, we hope that the AJS 37 will be considered one of the best packages of content available for $59.99. One of our prime goals is to make sure that everything we build is filled to the brim with content. The F-14 will be no different, and we have some exciting announcements to make with regards to the Tomcat as well.

Some of you have expressed concern that the AJS 37 will fall to the wayside with the coming of the F-14. The opposite is actually true. We consider 2018 to be a year where we consolidate both of our products, iron out any remaining flaws in both, and make sure that we can move ahead with a clean and low-intensity (upkeep wise) slate.

Bellissime le lnee del Draken. Dall'intervista che ho letto qualche giorno fa di un ex pilota svedese pare che però si trattasse di un aereo molto poco "forgiving" giacché richiedeva la massima attenzione nella gestione dei g e del motore

Viggenites!

We're kicking off 2018 with some thunder and lightning!
We've spent some time working on quality of life features pertaining to the data cartridge system, mission planning and have fixed some longstanding visual issues.

As mentioned in our update, 2018 will together with the Tomcat be the "year of content" for the Viggen, which includes additions such as the J-35 Draken, two free Caucasus based campaigns, many new liveries, a complete exterior sound overhaul and more. The ultimate goal in the medium term is to mature the Viggen, consider it feature complete and major bug free and "release" it out of Beta status. :)

We're also currently working with Eagle Dynamics to provide an update to the BK90 cluster bomb dispenser.
Our current implementation for this particular weapon is a complex concoction of workarounds. With a future update, the BK-90 will work exactly as intended and have parity in both SP and MP.

Thanks for your support and for your warm Viggen recommendations we've been seeing. We really appreciate it!
We hope you're all enjoying your time hauling ass and practicing your future Forrestal and Kuznetsov attack runs.

Here's the latest:

Con lo sviluppo del tool stanno un po' fermi da qualche tempo.
In compenso c'è anche chi sta lavorando su di un prodotto ancora più completo ed utilizzabile da tutti i moduli
